We’re looking for a Sr Technical Writer / Copywriter to join our team and continue to build and maintain a friendly ‘tone of voice’ while preserving brand standards and business objectives in every written communication. The overall goal is to ensure that every content piece or topic is easily understood by every audience keeping a clear, informative, and simple way to convey the key message.

Some of the daily activities range from conducting research, proofreading, and crafting persuasive copy for email marketing, landing pages, ads, social media, and technical documents to describe our products or services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet documented deadlines and complete tasks in accordance to project milestones while following code standards.
Communicate the status of your work to Project Managers and participate in a project team and department calls.
Work directly with Lead Designers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to complete assigned tasks.
Strategize, create, measure and co-own the content strategy.
Independently gather information from subject matter experts to develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation.
Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements.
Work with development and support leads to identify all documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine the best solution for data compilation and centralized storage.
Create technical documentation and adjust it when necessary to meet the company’s needs.
Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates in the Brand Story Canvas format.
Collaborate with other departments, internal and external stakeholders to facilitate the content strategy creation.
You will be responsible for presenting directly to stakeholders and pitching your ideas in a professional manner.
Develop content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with a consistent and cohesive voice across all documentation.
Ability to be proactive and take ownership of the projects assigned to you from concept to completion.
Ability to travel occasionally to our sister offices in TJ, SD, and MTY, to be part of strategic planning meetings as well as other activities related to the department.
You will need to participate in company culture events, team building dynamics and training workshops when requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Previous knowledge of Real Estate, Home Lending, Construction, Technology, or related industries.
High research skills.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communication, or related fields.
6+ years of experience working as a content creator, technical writer or editor, journalist, screenwriter, etc.
100%+ Bilingual ( English – Spanish ).
Excellent writing, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Attention to detail and ability to see the big picture.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects.
An open, positive, and empathetic personality.
Demonstrates ability to build trusted partnerships with project managers, designers, web developers, and other stakeholders.
Practices giving and taking feedback with a positive and curious attitude.
Ability to work on multiple projects at once, some on strict deadlines.
Problem-solver approach and common sense to ensure delivery.
Familiar with communication tools (Slack, Discord, Google meet).
