How many ADUs can I build on my property?

Depending on your property size and your city’s zoning requirements, you may be able to construct up to three units.

Is there a cost for applying for this loan?

No, proper owners will not have any out-of-pocket cost when applying for a loan through this program.

Must I live in the primary dwelling to apply for this loan?

No, property owners are not required to occupy the primary dwelling to apply for this loan.

What are the fees associated with this program?

If you choose Multitaskr's financing option, you will never have to make an out-of-pocket payment as the property owner. The rental income generated from the ADU will be used to offset the loan payments.

Do I have to occupy the main residence to qualify for this financing?

No, as of now, there are no owner occupancy requirements.

Is there a maximum loan amount?

There is not a set loan amount limit, but this funding has two separate loan funds to cover both the pre-construction and construction costs of the Accessory Dwelling Unit.

Can I build a garage conversion ADU (JADU)?

Yes, this funding is available for standalone units, attached ADUs, and ADU conversions!

My property is not in San Diego. Can I still get an ADU?

Yes. Homeowners with a credit score of 660 or more may qualify for this financing option.

Yes, but the ADU plans will vary by local requirements. Multitaskr's program is currently aligned with San Diego city building codes.

Do I need equity in my home to apply for this ADU financing option?

No, equity in the property is not needed to qualify for ADU financing. Having equity will help your eligibility, but it is not required.

How much rental income can I expect to generate?

The exact rental amount will fluctuate based on location and unit size. Still, the rental amounts are comparable to apartments in your neighborhood, sometimes even higher, due to increased privacy and additional amenities.
