RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet documented deadlines and complete tasks in accordance to project milestones while following code standards.
Communicate the status of your work to Project Managers and participate in a project team and department calls.
Optimize web properties for maximum speed, scalability, and maintainability.
Work directly with Lead Engineers on feature validation and code reviews.
Design and build branded web pages and landing pages for future and current campaigns.
Provide constant support and maintenance to all our web properties and campaign landing pages.
Work in design and performance optimization of all web pages built in WordPress.
Maintain all plugins and WordPress versions up to date to ensure proper functioning of the web properties.
Implement versioning control and backups to ensure the integrity of our web properties.
Create custom scripts, or custom adjustments to implement the required integrations and connections to other API’s, internal or external.
Manage all current and new domains, hosting and any devop related management required for the web properties.
Create UI design concepts in figma needed for new web pages or campaign landing pages.
Participate in designing, organizing and maintaining libraries for scalable design systems in Figma, Brizy, WordPress and code libraries.
Ensure brand standards are met across all platforms.
Collaborate with copywriter, content and marketing team members as well as with software engineers to facilitate the development of all pages needed.
You will be responsible for presenting directly to stakeholders and pitching your ideas in a professional manner.
Ability to be proactive and take ownership of the projects assigned to you from concept to completion.
Ability to travel occasionally to our headquarter offices in San Diego to be part of strategic planning meetings as well as other activities related to the department.
You will need to participate in company culture events, team building dynamics and training workshops when requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field.
Bachelor’s degree in web design or web development.
6+ years of experience in front end and web design.
80%+ Bilingual.
Strong graphic composition and color theory skills.
Working knowledge of SEO and Schemas.
Familiar with communication tools (Slack, Discord, Google meet).
Scrum knowledge.
Medium-advanced experience on working with Javascript applications consuming API endpoints.
Familiarity with modern frameworks for building UX/UI (VueJS, ReactJS or similar).
Experience on using frameworks for building responsive, mobile-first sites like Bootstrap, Tailwind or similar, and with css processors like Sass.
Medium-advanced knowledge in Hybrid Mobile Application Frameworks (React Native, Flutter, ionic).
Medium-advanced knowledge about Backend/API development on any of these frameworks (NodeJS, Laravel, Flask or similar), as API REST architecture connecting with SQL and NoSQL DB and/or with backend-as-a-service platforms (Firebase, etc.).
Medium-advanced knowledge about relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL or similar).
Medium-advanced knowledge about non-Relational Databases (MongoDB or similar) data modeling, class diagrams, etc.
Working experience with Git/Github and other VCS.
Egoless attitude that welcomes feedback and criticism, and enjoys working in a collaborative, iterative, and agile process.
Good communication, organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
