The ADU Construction Estimator role is a multifaceted role responsible for estimating the costs of an ADU construction project in terms of the labor, equipment and materials required. The ideal candidate will be involved from the phase prior to the construction of the project until its final phase. Our projects may vary from new constructions, ADUs, home remodels, landscape, site work and utility connections.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare estimates for ADU construction projects
Prepare cost estimates that cover every aspect of projects
Provide detailed and accurate cost estimates for new projects and prepare professional proposals
Able to interpret plans and specifications, perform takeoffs, develop estimates ranging from conceptual level to detailed lump sum estimates across various disciplines, evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
Review and analyze scope of work and project requirements for each job to ensure all building requirements can be accommodated

QUALIFICATIONS

Substantial experience in US based construction is required
Prior experience in ADU construction projects is required
Excellent organization skill
Maintains integrity, high ethics and professional codes of conduct at all times
Proficient with both hard bid and conceptual estimating
Understanding of Construction Systems
Self-starter mindset and the ability to perform at a high level with limited direct supervision
Flexibility to effectively deal with changing priorities and timelines though analytic problem solving
Able to work independently as well as in a collaborative team-oriented environment
Ability to work in a fast paced, unpredictable environment
General computer efficiency including ability to operate Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Preferably have a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Architecture or a related field
