We’re currently looking for a Purchasing Agent to manage the purchasing of all materials and labor needed to complete projects in a timely and efficient manner. RESPONSIBILITIES

Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items
Prepares purchase/work orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining approval from the requisitioning department
Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders
Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers
Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation
Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents
Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed
Follows and provides feedback on processes set forth by department, for organization and data management

QUALIFICATIONS

2+ years of experience working in a purchasing environment

BASIC SKILLS

Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices, MS Office, AutoCAD, purchasing software, bookkeeping, accounting and construction
Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Analytical and critical with outstanding organizational Skills
