RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to master list; clarifying unclear items
  • Prepares purchase/work orders by verifying specifications and price; obtaining approval from the requisitioning department
  • Obtains purchased items by forwarding orders to suppliers; monitoring and expediting orders
  • Verifies receipt of items by comparing items received to items ordered; resolves shipments in error with suppliers
  • Authorizes payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation
  • Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents
  • Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
  • Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed
  • Follows and provides feedback on processes set forth by department, for organization and data management

QUALIFICATIONS


  • 2+ years of experience working in a purchasing environment

BASIC SKILLS


  • Knowledge of market research, data analysis and purchasing best practices, MS Office, AutoCAD, purchasing software, bookkeeping, accounting and construction
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and critical with outstanding organizational Skills
